Friends, we made it. The last day of 2018 is officially here, and it’s so very sweet.
This year has been one of the biggest years in my life, and when I look back on the past 365 days I can’t help but be joyful. 2017 was one of the darkest years of my life and 2018 has been the most restorative. Even though I didn’t get my prosthetics and walk again this year, closing the chapter of 2018 feels big. It is worth celebrating.
This year was the year I finally came home from spending the past year and a half in the ICU and rehab hospital. It’s crazy to think that I have spent more time in the hospital than I have spent in my own home.
I traveled to California TWICE this year. The first was to go to the Friends of Bethany Hamilton retreat for ladies with limb loss, and the second was for a hair transformation with the beautiful Tess Holliday and Sebastian Professional.
Both of these trips were so very special in completely different ways – but both were incredibly healing.
I’ve had so many of y’all reach out encouraging me to take to my blog and restart it – and so in 2019 I have to decided to to just that! I will be posting blogs weekly – on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will be about a number of topics that are near and dear to my heart. Design, health, recipes, DIYs, and more! But most of all I want to keep everyone up to date on my road to walking again.
GRATEFUL FOR YOU
Before I go, I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind thoughts, comments, support, prayers and just overall goodness this past year. I truly don’t think I could be any more thankful for y’all.
Wishing you glitter + cheer and a happy new year!

Happy New Year sweet Callie!!! I have not met you but my daughter, Hailey has worked with Cassie for the last two years on her photography business and this is how I learned of you and became absolutely amazed at you. The first acquaintance was when Cassie worked with you to design Hailey’s business cards. Thank you so much!! I believe you did them right before you went into the hospital. I can’t tell you what those cards mean to us today. Thank you!!! Just the fact that you did them is so very special to us both. Shortly after we got them Cassie told us of your story and graciously asked us to pray for you. Please know that we did and still are today. You are amazing ????
